The BlindsInABox team is always happy to help our customers. Here you can find some of our most frequently asked questions and answers.
Our instant blinds require no special equipment for fitting. All you require is a sharp craft knife or stanley knife to cut the blind to size. Then, all that’s left to do is peel and stick!
BlindsInABox are very easy to fit, and can be done by one person. All you need to do is measure, cut and stick – no drilling required!
Our blinds are made of paper.
Yes. BlindsInABox blinds are made of paper, so they’re 100% recyclable. What’s more, the blinds are reusable, discouraging the throwaway culture.
BlindsInABox blinds are designed as a temporary solution to allow customers to block out light and gain privacy without the need for expensive blinds that require drilling holes, but they can also be used permanently. We use the term ‘temporary’ because they are made of paper, but this doesn’t prevent you from using them permanently.
Our blinds will stick to most surfaces, including walls, uPvc, aluminum, composite, wood and of course glass windows.
We do advise not to stick the blinds to newly painted surfaces or water-based painted surfaces.
You are not obliged to purchase accessories. Our blinds come with two clips per-blind as standard. If you would like more clips, or would like to add velcro, then you can purchase these from our accessories section.
Fitting our blinds couldn’t be easier:
You can read more about how to fit our blinds in this blog post.
Keep the blind closed in its folds, and cut through with a sharp knife, craft knife or “Stanley” knife. Reference our installation video to see how to cut and fit the blinds to your window.
No, each blind has 2 clips to hold them up at whatever height you require. More clips can be purchased if required.
No, you cannot see through the temporary white blinds when a light is on in the room. Their purpose is to give security and privacy.
No, the white blinds do not have a black out feature. If you wish to have a blackout effect, our black blinds provide this feature.
We recommend a warm hair dryer to soften the glue on the adhesive strip that secures the blind to the wall. Once heated, the blind should peel off easily.
We do not intend to introduce extra colours in the near future. Our company was founded on providing instant blinds with a cost effective solution to our customers. Black and white blinds allow BlindsInABox to stick to that promise.
Yes, you can either overlap the blinds or place them side by side for wider windows.
Our blinds are predominantly used on windows and doors in customers’ homes, but they can also be used when travelling in cars, caravans etc.
